USART
USART is an abbreviation meaning Universal Synchronous & Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter .
It is a electronic circuit which makes it possible to put in series (sérialiser) the bytes to be transmitted by a Modem. That means that each Bit constituting the Octet is transmitted the ones after the others on only one wire and not of simultaneously on 8 wire.
