UNSDI is an acronym which means Space United Nations Dated Infrastructure (Infrastructure of space data of the United Nations)

The sixth UNGIWG plenary session which was held in Addis Ababa in October 2005 related to a HTTP: /www.ungiwg.org/unsdi.htm infrastructure of space data for the United Nations (UNSDI) to support the coordination of efforts in the development and the management of information géospatiale.

UNSDI Compendium and Strategy Paper Implementation

A total compendium UNSDI " Vision, Implementation Strategy and Refers Architecture" was prepared according to 7th plenary session UNGIWG in Santiago of Chile at the beginning of November in relation to UNSDI Strategy Implementation Paper . Development of UNSDI at the national and regional level

In connection with UNSDI, there is the need to connect UNSDI to the national capacities of infrastructures of space data, at the same time in the developed Pays and the Developing country. An office of coordination was established with the Netherlands (Netherlands Coordination Office - NCO - Web site. A similar process is undertaken with the Czech Republic and Hungary, the meetings of launching close to Prague on May 18th and with Budapest on September 28th 2006, with the Web sites www.unsdi.cz and www.unsdi.hu.

The first meeting of dialog between UNGIWG-UNSDI and the levels national and regional of the partners of infrastructures of space data were held March 1st, th and 2nd 2007, and were accommodated by the European space agency (ESA) in its buildings ESRIN in Frascati in Italy. This meeting was organized with final workshop ESA-FAO-JRC " Heterogeneous Accessibility Missions (HMA) led by the ESA February 27th and 28th 2007 to ESRIN. Other dependant fields

UNSDI-T: transport and logistics with fine humanitarians. UNSDI is coupled with the Global Positioning System Department of Defense. It is related to the Directive INSPIRES, and corresponds largely to the paradigm Network-centered.
