UNSCOP

The UNSCOP or Special United Nations Committee One Palestine is a commission setting-up by the General meeting of the the United Nations in 1947 following the handing-over of the mandate on the Palestine by the the United Kingdom.

The Commission was initially made up of 11 countries and was charged to study the causes of the conflict in Palestine and to bring a solution there, in particular on the level of a Plan of division of Palestine.
