December 22nd 1958 was born the Union from Engineers de Pau. There existed at this times about thirty companies gathered in the employers' federation of the Metallurgy. The trade union of L `espadrille gathered 42 companies, the employers' regrouping of the textile of Nay included/understood 32 companies, 15 Manufacturers of Berets etc
March 15th 1963, it becomes the U nion I ngénieurs of the B assin of the has dour (UIBA) by the contribution of the adhesion of the engineers of the area of Tarbes and that of Bayonne.

It is in 1992 that UIBA becomes UISBA . There is nearly 5000 engineers and scientists who work in the countries of Adour (Yrénées-Atlantiques, Landes CUS, the High Pyrenees Western, Gers Southern) Its general secretary is in Hélioparc, 2 avenue du Président Pierre Angot, 64000 PAU
