UEFA Cup 2006-2007

The UEFA Cup 2006-2007 is the competition of the UEFA Cup which, in 2006 - 2007, puts at the catches clubs of Football of the European continent , of which in particular winners of the national Cuts.

Phase of groups

The drawing lot was held the October 3rd 2006 with Nyon.

The matches proceeded the October 19th, November 2nd, November 23rd, 29 and November 30th, and the last day the 13 and December 14th 2006.

The 40 vainqueures teams of the first turn are divided by a drawing lot in 8 groups of 5.

Each team only once faces all the others of her group, and on the whole faces two teams in residence, and outside two.

The three best teams of each group describe themselves for sixteenth as finale.

Sixteenth of finale

The drawing lot was held the December 15th 2006 with Nyon.

The matches outward journey will proceed the 14 and February 15th 2007, the return matches the February 22nd.

The 24 teams having finished between the first and the third place of their group at the time of the preceding turn, will be joined by the 8 teams having finished third of their group at the time of the phase of group of the Ligue of the Champions 2006-2007.

A team having finished first of her group will face another having finished third; a team having finished second of her group will face one having been fished out Ligue of the Champions 2006-2007.

The January 20th 2007, is excluded from the competition following the incidents and acts of vandalism made by its supporters hooligans, at the time of the hen match against Nancy. Tottenham Hotspur, which was to face Feyenoord, is blow directly qualified for the eighth of finale.

Quarterfinals

The drawing lot was held the March 16th 2007 with Glasgow. The matches outward journey proceeded the April 5th 2007, the return matches the April 12th.

Semi-final

The matches outward journey will proceed the April 26th 2007, the return matches the May 3rd.

Finale

FC Seville becomes the second club of the history to gain two Cuts UEFA of at a stretch, after the Real Madrid in 1986 and 1987.
