The Universitat of Barcelona-FC Barcelona is a Spanish club female of Basket-ball pertaining to the Liga Femenina, that is to say more the high level of the Spanish championship. The club, based in the town of Barcelona, was originally that of the Université of Barcelona before joining the row of the club omnsiports FC Barcelona.
In 2007, the head office of FC Barcelona announces that the Universitat did not respect its engagements. The section thus disappears in July 2007
History
The female section of the club of Basket-ball of the FC Barcelona (created in 1929) had disappeared between 1942 and 1945, leaving a great vacuum in this level. In 1985 is born a club called CB Universitari , section of the Club Esportiu Universitari . Ambitious, the club amalgamates in 2000 to become a section of the general sports club of the Université of Barcelona under the name of Universitat de Barcelona BF . At the same time as the concretization of a project of reopening of the section of the FC Barcelona came to a end.
