Tyrnävä
Tyrnävä is a municipality the North-West of the Finland, in the area of Ostrobotnie of North.
Located in southern outer suburbs of Oulu (30 km of the center town), she knows like the other communes surrounding the big city of the north of the country a strong growth of her population, often higher than 1.5% per annum. She also increased by annexing in 2001 the small municipality of Temmes (700 inhabitants).
The common one remains largely dependant on the Agriculture. Its leading product is the Potato, which either is exported in all the remainder of the country, or fermented and distilled on the spot in the factory of the group Shaman Spirits, to make Vodka of it.
The common one remains one of the bastion of the preserving Læstadianisme in Finland.
The close municipalities are Kempele in the North-West, Oulu in north, Muhos in the east, Liminka in the south and the west.
