Tyrap
Tyrap ( Ty-Rap in English) is the name of a fastener autobloquante invented in 1958 by the company Thomas&Betts , which has still currently the trade description of it.
History
In 1958, Thomas&Betts consolidated its fame in the history of technologies by developing the cable clamp of Ty-RapĀ® to facilitate the assembly of the harnesses of cables on the aircraft. The first month, the income of the sales amounted to 350 $ US. Today, T&B on sale generates an income of hundreds of million dollars of cable clamps declined in many colors, various designs and materials, and in various lengths. The cable clamps of T&B enter from now on the realization of thousands of products extending from the motor bikes to the space engines.
Use
This fastener, and its derivatives sold by other very popular marks also, are used mainly in the Industrie electric and electronic, like fasteners. Generally made out of synthetic matter (Polyamide, Nylon), it can also be metal.
