Two hours minus the quarter before Jesus-Christ is a French film left in 1982 and carried out by Jean Yanne.
A parody of Péplum, populated anachronism, where a " charagiste " Ben-Hur Marcel finds himself in spite of trade-union representative to him vis-a-vis the Roman army. Taken in a history of plot against César, homosexual, Ben-Hur Marcel finds itself overlapping in a history of policy with Egypt and Cléopâtre. It will be left there thanks to the talent his friend Paulus.
At first sight, the satire aims initially the official capacity which presents all the usual defects: liar, cynical, manipulator, scorning but so apprehensive. The people release and subjected (cf the final speech of Ben-Hur Marcel to the whole of the protagonists) and the revolutionists of operetta also take some for their rank: if the things are also badly, it is that in the final analysis they are let make. And, at the end, everyone forgets while looking at the sillinesses of the tv news.
