Twenty-fourth district of North
The twenty-fourth district of North is one of the 24 French electoral constituencies which account the department of the Northern (59). It is represented in XIIIe legislature by Jean-Luc Pérat (PS). Its substitute is Frederic Divina.
Geographical and demographic description
The twenty-fourth district of North is inside the Arrondissement of Avesnes-on-Helpe. It is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , and the following administrative divisions gathers:
- Canton of Avesnes-on-Helpe-North
- Canton of Avesnes-on-Helpe-South
- Canton of Hautmont
- Canton of Landrecies
- Canton of Solre-the-Castle
- Canton of Trélon
According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the total population of this district is estimated at 91.759 habitants, .
