This work of the historian Antoine Prost, professor emeritus with the University of Paris I, quickly appeared like a reference book for all the apprentices historians.

Presentation of the work

Composed of twelve chapters which come from courses professed with students of the first cycle of the Sorbonne, this work wants to be a methodological reflection on the trade of historian and the contemporary Historiographie.
