Tweel

Tweel , amalgamates car (tire) and of wheel (wheel), is a prototype of Pneu designed by Michelin.

The base of the internal support is not the Air but rays of flexible Polyuréthane which support the tread: the tweel cannot thus explode or burst.

There remain however problems to be solved (vibrations and noises at high-speed) but the first applications for the Militaire S will begin. Another advantage better would be held side in particular for the low profiles.
