Tvrtko Ier (1338 - 1391), of the Bosnian family of Kotromanic´ was the first king of Bosnia of the 14th century. After many contentions with the King of Hungary Louis 1st of Anjou, nominal suzerain of Bosnia as a King de Croatie, it succeeds in being made crown King de Bosnie in 1377. As his/her mother was Serb dynasty of the Nemanjic, it benefitted from it to be made crown at the same time King de Serbie and of Dalmatie, of which it controlled also a part. As a King, recognized by the Pope, he was the most important Christian prince who took share with the first Battle of Kosovo against the Othomans on June 15th, 1389, via his vassal Vlatko Vukovic de Hum (Herzégovine).
