Turquoise Air
Turquoise Air (Code ICAO: RTQ ; Code AITA: RT ) was a Airline company at low prices French made up in the form of simplified Joint stock company. It was launched the June 21st 2005 with the opening of the line Rheims/Bordeaux, followed the June 24th of the same year of the lines connecting Rheims to Marseilles and Nice.
History
Turquoise air is the result of a project begun after the Faillite from Littoral Air. A group of pilot wished to recreate a network of regional flights. However considering the attitude of the bodies of development of the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure (in particular the Chamber of commerce and of Industry of Montpellier, old base of Littoral Air), they turned to other more accessible areas. Thus they landed in Rheims in 2005.
Starting from April 2006, Air Turquoise flies daily between Rheims and London Luton and exploits the line Bordeaux in alternation with Toulouse. The lines between Nice and Marseilles are, they, daily.
In July 2006, Turquoise Air moves of Rheims because of the closing of the Aéroport of Rheims champagne, and takes its departures since the Aéroport of Vatry (code ICAO: LFOK).
The July 19th 2006, the bankruptcy court of Rheims pronounced the compulsory liquidation of the young French airline company at low cost which employs twenty-nine paid and cancelled all its flights. It had nevertheless an authorization of continuation of activity until July 31st in order to facilitate possible a reprise.
This company exploited a single apparatus of the type ATR 42-500, being able to transport forty-four passengers, who was registered in Germany under number D-BRRR.
The August 2nd 2006, for lack of transferee, the company ceased his activities.
