The commune of Turned pink made up in 1830 from the common one was disappeared from Saint-Gervais-Ground (or Saint-Gervais-Ground-Open), which had been itself made up starting from the old St-Gervais-Ground community. Part of the grounds were attached to the communes of Castanet-le-Haut, Saint-Gervais-on-Pond, Saint-Genius-with-Varensal.

In the hamlet of Douch took place, on September 10th, 1943, one of the first important combat of the Résistance (mentioned by the de Gaulle General). He opposed a group of 47 men of the maquis directed by Christian of Roquemaurel to a strong German column of 200 men. the men of the maquis folded up themselves not without to have imposed strong losses on the enemy.
