Turn of the Spur
the Tower of the Spur is a Building Great Height (IGH) located in the district of the Dovecote at Rennes.
It is about the second highest skyscraper of Rennes after the “Tour the Horizons” and a height of 98.5 Mr. With the antenna on roof, the building rises with 105m.
This residential building was built in 1975 by the architect Louis Arretche at the time of the big operation of installation of the Colombier district located in downtown area of Rennes.
This unit is composed of 2 twin towers joined, of 2 levels of carpark, 1 high ground floor, 30 stages with balcony and of 2 technical levels. Each apartment has a small balcony but do not follow one another the same level. They are articulated in a dynamic way, until transformation of the frontages into abstract volumetric plays where the shade and the light alternate.
