The Turn of the Basque Country (in Spanish: Vuelta Ciclista Al País Vasco or in Basque: Euskal Herriko txirrindulari itzulia ) is a race cyclist with stages disputing in Spain, and with the Basque Country Spanish more precisely, at the beginning of April. The stages are particularly mountainous because of the relief escarpé of the Basque Country without to comprise large collars.
This race is registered with the calendar UCI ProTour
Created in 1924 under the name of “Circuit of North”, this competition ceased between 1936 and 1968 before beginning again in 1969 or Jacques Anquetil gained it. The last edition of
Turn of the Basque Country was gained by the Spanish cyclist Juan Jose Cobo
