Turn of Germany

The Tour of Germany ( Deutschland Turn ) is a race cyclist with stages registered with the program of the Pro-Turn since 2005. In 2007, at the time of the 30e edition of the test, Jens Voigt is the first to gain this race twice.

Alternating the stage S punts for sprinters and the stages of high mountain in the the German and Austrian Alps, like with a length Against-the-watch, the Turn of Germany has been regarded for a few years as a complete test. That was the will of the organizers at the time of his inscription to the Pro-Turn in 2005 which saw the test shifted after the Tour de France, lengthened with ten days and made more difficult.

Principal made criticism is that the Turn of Germany must often take the Austrian roads , in particular to find frightening collars.

Prize list

It should be noted that the German Jens Voigt is the only runner to have succeeded in twice imposing continuation in this test.
