Turn-lantern
A turn-lantern is a tower rising, in certain churches, with the top of crossed Transept and comprising openings by which the light can penetrate in the building.
The tower lantern is in particular a characteristic of certain large churches and especially Cathédrale S Gothics, in Normandy (among the cathedrals of this province, only that of Sées is currently deprived by it) and in England.
The turn-lantern can be surmounted by an arrow.
