Alphabet turkmene

The turkmene was written with an adapted Arabic alphabet, then with a Latin alphabet until 1940. The Soviet State then forces the adoption of an alternative of the Cyrillic alphabet for the writing of turkmene. Since the independence of 1991 in Turkménistan, the official alphabet is an alternative of the Latin alphabet with some diacritic (ş, ä, ý, C, ň).
