Tupac Yupanqui

Tupac Yupanqui is an emperor INCA who reigned between 1471 and 1493.

Wire of Pachacutec, it is named heir to the throne towards the 15 years age. During the reign of his/her father, it is a large general who, by his conquests, allows the Empire INCA to reach his maximun extension. To north, it subjects the Cañar S to extend its domination on almost the totality of current the Ecuador; the kingdom of the Chimu S falls between its hands and, with him, all the coast until Lima; in the south, in spite of the valiant resistance of the warriors Araucan S, Túpac Yupanqui advances the borders of the Empire until the río Maule, in the middle of the current Chilean territory.

In 1471, Tupac Yupanqui returns to Cuzco and goes up on the throne which his/her growing old father bequeaths to him. By these victories and the authority which it shows, it is one of the most powerful emperors incas.

Tupac Yupanqui equips its States with a solid administration, a very developed highway network which crosses the highest collars, connecting the various provinces and allows a rapid transmission of the orders of the central capacity many to the civil servant buildings. True a Socialisme of State regulates in the least detail all the activity of its subjects until their private life. But the extent of the empire, the geography and the diversity of the cultures make fragile the authority of the INCA.

Despite everything, the INCA aristocracy foments plots against the emperor, and Tupac Yupanqui dies assassinated in 1493.

During its reign, a prediction, which was curiously carried out, had ensured that XIIIe emperor of Incas would be the last. The destiny of Atahualpa gave him reason.
