Tuomas Holopainen
Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen is a Musicien Finnish born the December 25th 1976 with Kitee in Finland. It is the clavierist and the principal author of the songs of the group Nightwish. He also played in the groups Nattvindens Gråt and Darkwoods My Betrothed. Its secondary group is currently For My Pain…. He also plays in the group of Timo Rautiainen.
Musical course
It is at the eight years age that Tuomas started to learn the Piano. Around ten years, it took courses of Clarinette and continued its studies in a college of music.
Tuomas also played of the Saxophone in a group of Jazz as well as clarinet in a brass band.
It is around 16 years that the Synthétiseur and the Piano become its instruments of predilection. He plays then in the group Niskalaukaus.
In July 1996 is born the idea from Nightwish in Tuomas, around a campfire with his/her friends, and a few months later, the demonstration will be recorded, demonstration which will mark the departure of its principal group, most personal.
During the Fall 1999, Tuomas is contacted to belong to a Gothic group of metal Finnish named For My Pain…, group which will be really places from there only at the Printemps 2001.
The October 21st 2005 Tuomas decides with the approval of Marco Hietala, Emppu Vuorinen and of Jukka Nevalainen to return the Chanteuse Tarja Turunen of the group Nightwish, by writing a Open letter to him, finding that it was not invested enough in the group.
Instruments
Tuomas uses any kind of synthetizers of the mark KORG, in particular a OASYS, a KARMA, and 3 TRITON IT (its instruments in concert).
