Tunic

A tunic is a full Vêtement which covers the bust, the shoulder S and the Dos. It threads by the head thanks to a broad elastic neck sometimes buttoned or . The handles are short or long. It is often worked with Broderie S, Ruban S or reason S. It does not go down low than the Cuisse S, sometimes the Genou X and goes falling on other clothing.

It is one of the oldest shapes of clothing. In the Antiquity, it was used as Sous-vêtement.

The gonne (or gonelle ) is a long tunic mérovingienne and unisexe which will become the model-type of the behavior ecclésiastique.
The candys is a tunic which went under the Kaunakès to Sumer.
The surcot is an often decorated tunic (embroidery, gallons, etc) which went during the Moyen-âge: long to the feet for the women and semi-leg for the men
