Tungabhadrâ

The Tungabhadrâ (Kannara: ತುಂಗಬಧ್ರಾನದಿ) is a river the southernmost India. It is the principal affluent of the river Krishnâ. It is formed with the confluence of two rivers, Tunga and Bhadra, resulting the Eastern slope from the Western Ghâts, in the state of the Karnataka. Tungabhadra runs towards the East through the plate of Deccan, uniting the river Krishnâ in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Krishna carries on its road towards the east to throw itself in the Bay of Bengal.
