Tully Blanchard

Tully Blanchard (born the January 22nd 1954) is a American all-in wrestler of second generation, more known to have been one of the Four Horsemen.

Beginnings

As wire of the former promoter of the American Wrestling Association and star of wrestling Joe Blanchard, Tully Blanchard was implied in wrestling at a very young age. It started to sell programs and coolings in the arena with the ten years age, and worked as a referee when it was older. Blanchard was with the West Texas State University, where he played of the American football, initially in Quarterback and then in Défenseur, at the sides of other future all-in wrestlers like Tito Santana and Ted DiBiase. After having received its diploma, it was involved to become all-in wrestler and from went away to the Southwest Championship Wrestling (SCW), where it held also a role in the slides. Blanchard knew much success to the SCW, beginning in face and making team with her father in a competition with Dory Jr. and Terry Funk, making later team regularly with Gino Hernandez in one of the best team heel known under the name of " The Dynamic Duo" , holding the titles World and by team. Hernandez from went away for the World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) and formed one second version of Dynamic Duo with Chris Adams, whereas Blanchard started with catcher for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Mid-Atlantic promotion. Hernandez would die in 1986; Adams him in 2001. Blanchard is the only member surviving of the Dynamic Duo .

With its manager, Baby Fraud, at its sides, Blanchard engaged of the epic competitions with Wahoo McDaniel, Magnum T.A., and Dusty Rhodos. It is there this competition which carried out to him to make alliance with Ric Flair, Ole Anderson, and Arn Anderson, in what became the Four Horsemen. The clan dominated the federation for the following years, holding many titles and maltreating his enemies. Blanchard itself became NWA World Television Champion (twice), NWA United States Heavyweight Champion, NWA National Heavyweight Champion, and NWA World Tag TEAM Champion (twice) for this period.

Changes of career

After differences with the leader Jim Crockett and the script writer Dusty Rhodos in connection with its pay with him and of its partner per team Arn Anderson, Blanchard and Anderson left the JCP for the World Wrestling Federation the September 10th 1988, losing in a match for the titles vis-a-vis Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane after a short competition (after Horseman Barry Windham and its manager J.J. Dillon left later for similar reasons; Sense of smell, him also was from to go away and gain the WWF championship with inaugural the SummerSlam, but decided to remain when the JCP signed his/her old friend Ricky Steamboat and put them in team together). With the WWF, they were called " The Brain Busters " and were shouldered by the manager heel Bobby Heenan. It negotiated again with the NWA to join Horsemen at the beginning of 1990, but declined quickly the offer which it considered insufficient. Blanchard made some appearances with AWA in spring 1990 and was the head of poster of independent promotions through the country, but was withdrawn soon with time-full with wrestling to become Pasteur. He seldom fought in the most remarkable Nineties, his matches being that with Terry Funk with WCW Slamboree 1994 which finished in double-disqualification, and a tie following the limit of time with then the Extreme Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas in 1995. The January 29th 2005 with " WrestleReunion ", Blanchard lost vis-a-vis Jeff Jarrett in a match where it was known as that it had a physical good condition. It has a parish where it preaches with the faithful ones.

In 1992 Blanchard joined the Charlotte Christian School as an assisting trainer. It was referred there like " The Beast ( the Animal ) " while helping of the teams of School Athletic Association championship to progress.
