The tulipier of Gabon ( Spathodea campanulata ) is a tree of the family of the Bignoniaceae originating in Africa, largely used like ornamental tree in tropical area because of the beauty of its flowering and its facility of adaptation to various mediums. It reproduces by very light winged seeds and represents for the indigenous flora a very serious threat like invading exotic species.
