Tulane university

The University Tulane , in English Tulane University , is an American private university , founded in 1834 and located mainly at the New-Orleans, in the state of the Louisiana. Tulane is one of the best universities of the South of the United States, highly selective, and developing a very good university research.

History

It was founded in 1834 with the creation of a public Faculty of Medicine, before diversifying towards the whole of the traditional academic lesson. It was then privatisée in 1884, under the direction of Paul Tulane and Josephine Louise Newcomb, becoming the only American university to pass from the public to the private one.
