Tui Nayau

Tui Nayau (literally chief of Nayau in Tongien) is with that of Tui Lau one of the two usual titles most important carried by the big bosses of the archipelago of Lau (Fiji). The title is generally associated with the name of " Sau nor vanua" . Nayau is an small island located at the north of Lakeba from where these chiefs would be originating. Before the last Tui Nayau was the former Prime Minister then President de Fidji, Ratu Kamisese Mara. His/her son Ratu Finau Mara succeeded in April 2006 for this reason to him, although he was not still established with that of Tui Lau. The seat of the cheffery is located at Tubou on the island of Lakeba. Tui Nayau belong to the Confédération Tovata.

The wife of Tui Nayau or formerly, the first wife of this one, carries the title of Radini Nayau.
