In the important occasions, the formal robe of the Dalaï Lama was placed on the throne. However, when the Mongolian princes insisted to have an audience, an old monk called Depa Deyrab of the Monastery of Namgyal, and which resembled the Dalaï Lama, was engaged to appear in its place. Desi Sangyé Gyatso maintained its history until he heard that a boy of My Tawang had remarkable capacities. It sent its assistants of confidence in the area and in 1688, the boy was brought to Nankartse, close to Lhassa where it received an instruction of teachers engaged by Desi Sangyé Gyatso until in 1697, when Desi sent its minister of confidence, Shabdrung Ngawang Shonu at the court Mandchou to inform the Emperor Kangxi of died of 5th and discovered 6th Dalaï Lama.
