Tryphiodore or Triphiodore (in Greek old Τρυφιόδωρος / Tryphiódôros ) is an Egyptian poet 4th century, writing in Greek old.

He is the author of a Prise of Troy ( Ἰλίου Ἅλωσις / Ilíou Halôsis ), long of 691 hexameters dactylic, inspired by the epopee S of the Trojan Cycle, telling the stratagem of the Trojan horse and the bag of the city.

With Nonnos de Panopolis, Museum or Palladas, it belongs to a current of Egyptian well-read men, set on Greek poetry - the philosopher Eunape de Sardes, in his Vies of philosophies and the sophists , speaks even about “foolish passion”.
