The tries is a habitat temporary and removable in fabric.
It is frequently used by the populations Nomade S, the circus S, the artists itinerant and during the Vacances, in Camping.
Types of tents
The tent is one of the oldest shapes of human habitat. It is also used as mode of housing for certain nomads.There exist several types of tents:
- tents with framework : the wood or metal structure maintains the fabric (examples: the Yurt S, the Tipi S, barnums, camping tents igloo, dome or family);
- tents in fabric tended : the fabric, the parts structural (chechmates, stakes) and the moorings (grips, sardines, cords, straps) are complementary and join to form the tent;
- inflatable tents : the structure is formed by inflatable rolls which make it possible to give an aerodynamic form to the tent and thus to better resist the bad weather;
- the capitals : to see the separated article, capital.

Constitution of a tent
A tent often consists of several parts:- an interior fabric or a Velum;
- a fabric of ground, a track;
- an external fabric, to protect from the bad weather;
- of the stakes, the chechmates, the grips or sardines , the cords or straps;
- sometimes a Apse.

- Wigwam, dwelling builds by the Amerindian seminomad of North America of which the Micmacs.
- Yurt, in skin or felt of the Mongolian nomads and Turkish which lives in Central Asia, in particular with the Kirghizstan, the Kazakhstan and the Karakalpakistan.
