True Blooded Yankee
This American ship during the war of 1812 between the the United Kingdom and the United States was bought with the biddings in Brest on July 29th, 1811 by American residing at Paris, Preble. Previously ordered by the British captain Goddart Blennerhasset, this British corvette of the name of " Challenger " had just been captured on March 11th, 1811 by the imperial frigate French " Pregel " following a naval action at the time of its first exit at sea between Saint-Servan and Brest, precisely off the island of Batz. The first voyage of this 32ème crew of high-edge was also the first of the terreneuva Jacques Duchesne, the father of Louis Duchesne.
Thereafter, this corvette will sail between Morlaix, Brest and Lorient.
