Tropical storm Lee (2005)

The tropical storm Lee was 12th cyclone season 2005 in the basin of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the first use of the name Lee , name replacing Lenny (1999).

Chronology

The August 24th 2005, a tropical Onde coming from the African coast produced a zone of low pressures above the Atlantic Ocean tropical. Halfway between the Africa and the Lesser Antilles, the depressionary hollow was organized.

The 13th Tropical depression of the year was formed the August 28th 2005 towards 12:00 UTC. The depression took a west-north-west direction. The depression, confronted with the shearing prevailing in the medium of the Atlantic, ceased its development and degenerated into depressionary hollow the August 29th towards 18:00 UTC. The hollow moved towards the north-north-east close to a second not-tropical hollow.

After having put the course towards the North-East, the activity Orage uses redéveloppa, with bands of Convection. The August 31st, towards 6:00 UTC, tropical depression had been reformed, and became, with 12:00 UTC, a Tropical storm which one baptized Lee .

Halfway between the Bermuda and the the Azores, Lee weakens quickly in Tropical depression while moving around the second hollow. The September 2nd, with 6:00 UTC, Lee absorbed the not-tropical hollow, maintaining its intensity a few hours before becoming again a hollow. The hollow remaining was absorbed by a cold Front the September 4th with 0:00 UTC.
