The tropical Africa includes/understands the 47 countries of which the major part of the territory is located between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.

The 6 countries of the north of the Africa and the 3 of the south constitute subtropics and their Flore S is quite distinct (flora of the Mediterranean type and flora of the Cape).
