The trophy Hart ( Binder Memorial Trophy ) is given to the best player of Hockey of the National league of hockey in regular season. The member elect is chosen by vote by the Professional association of the Written press.

The trophy goes back to 1923 when Dr. David Hart made of it a gift with the National league of Hockey. Dr. Hart was the father of Cecil Hart, trainer-chief and director-manager of the Canadian of Montreal. The original trophy was withdrawn and placed at the Temple of re-elected hockey in 1960 then replaced by a new trophy named with the memory of Cecil Hart.
