Terry Date was born in the Ohio (the United States).
It is often associated with the musical vagueness of Seattle of which it is one of the veterans and the Grunge to have in particular produced the group Soundgarden. It goes besides in this city in 1979 after having been graduate in the Idaho.
During years and well before this grunge wave, it did not cease producing local small groups of the nights during. But it is after having produced the first album of Metal Church, Blessing in Disguise into 1989 that its name starts to appear among those of large. Are followed from there collaborations with Soundgarden and Mother Love Bone.
Its trademark is a sound of guitar heavy but always precise.
The independent groups to which it lent strong hand are Pantera, Sreaming Trees, White Zombie, Otep, Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Machine Head, Soundgarden and Deftones of which it produced the 4ers albums. It also took part in the first album of TEAM Sleep by producing “Tomb off Liegia” and “King Diamond”.
