Troop

History

Troop is a group R&B American originating in Pasadena. It is composed of the members Steve Russell, Allen McNeil, John Harreld, Rodney Benford, and Reggie Warren which all are of the friends of childhood. The group was formed in the Eighties and see itself offering a contract at Atlantic Records after having gained a televised contest of young talents.

They leave their first individual " Mamacita" in 1988 which will rise in the second place of Billboard' S R&B Charts. A first album éponyme will be followed from there, then the group gains a certain popularity with a second opus entitled " Attitude" including the tubes " Spread My Wings" and " All I C is Think off You" (a resumption of the Jackson 5).

After having recorded three other albums, the group separates during some time to devote itself to the personal projects and the production.

In 2004, Troop again records new individual, " Thizzle" , and an album is in preparation.
