Tronchet (author)

Didier Vasseur, alias Tronchet, was born with Béthune on September 29th, 1958. He obtains in 1980 the diploma of the University of journalism of Lille.

Majority of its Cartoons, of which he is the draftsman, or the scenario writer, or both, constitute series of several albums. Its appointed colourist is Nadine Voillat.

Its favorite registers are in black humor and cynicism: its recurring heroes ( Raymond Calbuth , Jean-Claude Tergal ) are poor guy tared, shifted and attaching. All human misery passes with derision and nostalgia through its albums, of old-fashioned always in lack of affection, with the sorry landscapes of its Nord-Pas-de-Calais native. One also finds there, in the form of science fiction, of the whole worlds rebuilt on the topic of the absurdity and totalitarianism: Welcome with Houppeland , Raoul Fulgurex , " Welcome with Welcome Land".
