Trollhättan is a town of Sweden, chief town of the Commune of Trollhättan, in the Comté of Västra Götaland. 44  046 people live there. It is known in particular for its system of locks.

The town of Trollhättan is the city of the cascades and of the écluses.il has there 7000 years the first hunters and fishermen were installed on the edges of the river Göta Älv where the city is today. Technology was born from nature. With the Middle Ages, the inhabitants started to use the hydraulic power to saw wood. A few centuries later, they cured the 32 meters height problem of falls by building channels and locks, making river an axis of essential transport. The trade of Trollhättan knew prosperity as navigation on the channel developed and that its reputation of city of the innovation was spread. The first modern industries gathered in the city to manufacture heavy objects out of steel such as saws, turbines water or locomotive. The good communication and electricity at low prices coming from the falls attracted other companies with the novel ideas, of which the " Svenska Aeroplan Aktie Bolaget" in 1937. Today, Trollhättan shelters many companies of point. Saab goatskin bottles, Volvo aero designs and manufactures components of planes and space rockets. These last decades, Trollhättan also became a cinematographic pole. The studios are just beside the Museum Saab.Ces six last years, more than 90 films were turned in Trollhättan which has its clean " Walk off fame" with which the pavement is strewn with stars!
