Trogir (Latin Tragurion , Italian Traù ) is a historical city and a port on the coast Adriatique of the Croatia, in the area of the Dalmatie, with 27 kilometers in the west of Split. The city counts a population of 10.907 people (2001), for a total population in the commune of 13 322 inhabitants (2001), with the coordinates of 43:31 NR of Latitude and 16: 16th of Longitude.
The historical city is registered on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO. It is built on an small island (approximately 1 km ²) located between the continent and the island of Ciovo.

Most important industry is the Naval construction, with the arsenal “Trogir” built at the beginning of last century. The arsenal has a capacity of 2 boats of 55.000 tons. Between 1990 and 2004, 93 boats were built in these installations.
