Triumph Speed Furnace
The Speed Furnace is a roadster built by the British firm Triumph.
The Speed Furnace appears in 2003. It takes again the engine and the part cycles TT600, to which it adds two optics which made the fame of his/her big sister, the Speed Triples. It has as a target the best-sellers of its category, namely the 600 Hornet or Fazer.
Like the TT600, its engine four cylinder on line worked over again by Cosworth and Lotus is one. It is slightly deflated for a greater flexibility with low modes, but develops nevertheless 98 horses. The camshafts and the line of exhaust are different.
The framework is of perimetric type out of aluminum. Side brakes, the two discs before 310 mms in diameter are gripped by Nissin clamps with four pistons, the back disc of 220 mm by a clamp doubles pistons.
On road, being derived from sporting, it keeps a stability and a very healthy behavior. On the other hand, the daily or urban use is very difficult. The turning radius is enormous, little looked after ergonomics, comfort in lower part of what its competitors propose.
Its commercial pursuits end in 2005.
