The trithérapie is said of any medicamentous treatment including/understanding three active ingredients acting differently.
This word is complementary to terms monothérapie , bithérapie and quadrithérapie of current use. Above one speaks about polythérapie .
One thus speaks about a antihypertensive trithérapie against the arterial Hypertension, against the Angina pectoris but the use of the term more running, apart from the specialized milieux, remains for the treatment of the AIDS.
