Tristan the Hermit

François the Hermit, sior of Soliers known as Tristan the Hermit , born with the castle of Soliers, in the Walk, 1601 and deceased with Paris the September 7th 1655, is a Poète and Dramaturge French.

Probably killing from Pierre the Hermit, the preacher of the first crusade, his family is almost ruined at the time of her birth. The success (except for Panthée where the place held by lyricism harms the intrigue) gained by its tragedies, where literary criticism distinguished “pre-raciniens moments”, made it regard as a rival of Corneille by its contemporaries. He also published Lettres frays , 1642 and historical Plaidoyers , 1643.
He was elected with the French Academy in 1649. The life of debauchery which it carried out in the entourage of Gaston of Orleans and its immoderate taste for the wine and the play ended up being right of little health which its tuberculosis left him. Quickly forgotten with its death, it profited from the redécouverte of the literature baroque and the libertines authors from which it however differs.
