These novels were the subject of a first adaptation in Manga followed of another in Anime.

For the moment, these novels were the subject of no publication in France. The publication of the novels was stopped following the death of the author (a resumption of the novel by another author was however confirmed).
Synopsis
500 years ago, the Armageddon devastated most of the Earth and, thus, operated modifications on its population. Consequently, this event caused the arrival of the Mathusalems (aliens having unloaded during Armageddon, generally called Vampires by the terran from their similarities with those Ci) and the appearance of the Cyborgs (minor Class of the machines) created starting from the Lost Technology (Our current technology).From there, the Mathusalems were opposed to the Terrans (Human) in order to sit their power on the latter…
In order to preserve fragile balance founded between the Terrans and the Mathusalems , the the Vatican dispatched an operating team: AX .
This organization is made up Fathers and Sisters equipped with capacities at least paranormaux.
Some are even of Mathusalems…
Protagonists
Trinity Blood introduces characters having at least existed such as William Wordsworth , Václav Havel , Catherine Sforza or of many cultural references like the famous Peter Pan of James Matthew Barrie. The name of the hero is drawn from the Genesis, the old will (Abel, one of the children of Adam and Eve).

; Abel Nightroad (アベル ・ ナイトロード) The hero (Anti-hero?) of this work is Abel Nightroad, a priest of the the Vatican and brother of Cain (Mein Herr' Contra Mundi, chief of the organization of Rozen Kreuz). This one is regularly elected by Dame Catherine to carry out missions of unimportant with most dangerous. But Abel, under his smile of Angel, mask a terrible secrecy: It is a Kresnik (or Krsnik) (クルースニク): Those are evolutions of Vampires of terrible, extrème power. The transformation of Abel into Crusnik is impressive: to 40% of its activated capacity, its eyes become red, its lips become black, its canines lengthen to become like those of the vampires and it manufactures an axe made of materialized blood. To 80%, two wings appear and it can created electricity. With 100% its skin becomes black and it is almost invincible. Indeed, instead of nourishing blood of the Terrans , they nourish blood of the Vampires themselves. Abel, during his various adventures, will have to cover this terrible mask in order to seal his thirst.
; Esther Blanchett (エステル ・ ブランシェ)
- Attention: Esther appears only in the arc Reborn one The Mars .
; Caterina Sforza (カテリーナ ・ スフォルツァ) Caterina Sforza (alias Lady Catherine) is the founder of the AX. She is also the sister of the Pope in the universe of Trinity Blood. This one maintains a long friendship with Abel and did not generate itself to entrust the most perilous missions to him… because only him can achieve them.
; Very Iqus (Latin III-X) (トレス ・ イクス)

He is the Pope of the Catholic church. This teenager is always nervous and is always afraid. It is never able to make a decision by itself. He is right only one puppet to control by Caterina Sforza and Francesco di Medici, his brother and his sister. Towards the end of the episodes, it opens the eyes and take again all its confidence.
Rozen Kreuz is an terrorist organization who consists several vampires very drawing, including one human (Dietrich) and Crusnik (Cain so known under the name of Mein Herr' Contra Mundi and brother of Abel Nightroad). They carry all of clothing black except Cain. The Organization remainder always secretes and handles people or vampires to make their dirty work for them. Their goal is probably the domination of the world.
; Dietrich Von Lohengrin (ディートリッヒ ・ フォン ・ ローエングリューン)
Marionnettist member of Rozen Kreuz. It is a man extrèmement beautiful. It with the appearance of an angel but the heart of a demon. It has the capacity to control the human ones as well as vampires, even if the person already died. He admits being the creator of the soldiers of the Order, of the vampires reanimated by his capacity of marionnettist. Towards the end of the episodes, Cain kills it because it failed its mission of stopping a missile.
; Isaak Fernand Von Kämpfer (イザーク ・ フェルナンド ・ フォン ・ ケンプファー)
This human is the inventor of the organization of Rozen Kreuz. It is called the Magician. It is because of him that Cain is Crusnik. Its capacity of is created << an electromagnetic gun >>, the Arch of Belial. This attack generates a massive sphere of light (like a sun) and launches a multitude of filaments of energies on the person. But its most powerful capacity is the Sword of Beelzebub, where it can cut a person while launching invinsibles knives.
; Radu Barvon, Baron de Louqsor
One of the best friends of Ion Fortuna, it was sent and accompanied in the Vatican to go to negotiate. It was controlled by Marionnettiste (Dietrich Von Lohengrin) and worked with Rozen Kreuz. Its first mission was to kill Ion Fortuna but later it was indicated to assassinate Dame Caterina. It has the capacity of created non luminous flames.
; Astharoshe Asran
A vampire, Noble of the Empire, which in spite of it is obliged to be combined with the AX to carry out investigations into the traitors who dishonor the imperial crown.

Young vampire, officially the heir to the Empress. Noble of high ranking, it acts as messenger between the Empire and the Vatican.
For the moment, nine volumes were published at Kadokawa Shoten.
The prepublication was made by Asuka Comics (Held by Kadokawa Shoten).
Animates was laid off with the the United States by the editor FUNimation and in France by the editor Declic Images.
The series thus concluded on this 24th episode and will be divided into 12 DVD containing each one 2 episodes in the Japanese DVD.
