Trinidad Jiménez

Trinidad Jiménez García-Herrera (Málaga, June 4th, 1962) is a Spanish political woman, member of the Spanish Working Socialist party (PSOE). It is currently Secretary of State for the Latin America.

Biography

Arrived at Madrid following the change of her father, it obtains a License of Right to the Autonomous Université of Madrid and quickly begins its political career within the socialist Jeunesses.

Near to Jose Shine Rodríguez Zapatero and of its current Nouvelle sees ( Nueva Vía ), it clearly supports its candidature for the General secretary of PSOE. After the election of this one, it becomes member of the Federal Executive commission of PSOE as Secrétaire with the International relations.

Socialist candidate with the town hall of Madrid to the municipal elections of 2003, it is preceded by the candidate of the Popular party Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón. She however obtains the greatest number of socialist city council men since the PSOE does not direct any more the inhabitant of Madrid municipality.

Had a presentiment of as future Minister for the government of Jose Shine Rodríguez Zapatero when it gains the legislative elections of March 14th, 2004, she remains however municipal adviser of Madrid until September 6th, 2006, date on which the President of the government proposes it at the station Secretary of State for the Latin America.
