Trinh Xuan Thuan (1948, Hanoï) is an astrophysicist and writer originating in the Vietnam.

It makes off its studies of Astrophysique to the California Institute Technology (Caltech), then at the university of Princeton to the the United States where it obtained a doctorate in astrophysics.

Since 1976, he is professor of astrophysics at the university of Virginia.

Trinh Xuan Thuan is specialized in the extragalactic Astronomie.

He is member of the Interdisciplinary Université of Paris
