Tring is a small town located in the county of Hertfordshire in England at 50 km of the North-West of London, from which it is connected by Akeman Street. Tring is in the west of Hertfordshire and in the north of the Chilterns - a series of wooded hills limestones.

The city is famous to shelter the museum of zoology (Natural history museum of Tring) of Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild (1868-1937).
