Trimethylgallium

Trimethylgallium (TMG), Ga (CH3) 3, (CASE #: 1445-79-0) are the source preferred Organométallique Gallium for the organometallic epitaxy in vapor phase (MOVPE) made up Semi-conducteur containing gallium, like GaAs, GaN, Gap, GaSb, GaInAs, InGaN, AlInGaP, GaInP, AlInGaNP etc

The TMG is a colorless liquid, with a Point of boiling of 55,7ºC and a Point melting of -15ºC.

The TMG is known to be pyrophoric, c.à.d. that it spontaneously takes fire in contact with the air. Even the hydrocarbon solutions of TMG, once sufficiently saturated, are known spontaneously to take fire in contact with the air.

The TMG is known to react violently with water and others compounds able to provide a Ion Hydrogène free credit (i.e. a Proton). Consequently, the TMG must be handled with the care and the attention necessary, for example, stored in a fresh place and dryness between 0 and 25ºC, under atmosphere Inerte.
