The family of the Triméniacées is an small family of plants angiospermes of old divergence which includes/understands 5 Espèce S divided into 1 or 2 kind S: Trimenia (and Piptocalyx ?)
They are trees or shrubs sometimes climbing, producing essential oils, subtropics with tropical. One meets them in Malaysia, Australia and in the islands of the Pacifique.
The phylogenetic classification locates this family among the families of old divergence. In its revision in 2003 the family is included in the order of the Austrobaileyales .
