Trillium lancifolium

Trillium lancifolium is a herbaceous, long-lived and rhizomateuse plant of the family of the Liliaceae (traditional Classification) or Melanthiaceae (Classification APG II, 2003).

Description

This plant of the south-east of the the United States flowers in spring in the fresh forests in mountain and the alluvial plains. The linear-oblong petals from 3 to 7 cm are green, purple, chestnut or two-tone. The lancéolées sheets with decorative spots are reversed. The fruit is winged.
